New NICU parents - Does it feel as if you're not getting the support you need?

NICU's across the country are working hard to improve the care they provide to babies AND parents. But sometimes it feels like it's not enough. Many parents report feeling scared, overwhelmed, depressed, and more during and after their NICU stay.

Today I'd like to share a really great website that's here to help - Support4NICUParents.org.

As you can probably tell from the title, the whole goal of this organization is to improve support that NICU moms and NICU dads receive.  They are working diligently to make significant, meaningful change for NICU parents.

They do this by educating parents and NICU staff alike. There is a portion of the website devoted to NICU professionals, including education about the benefits of improving parental support and recommendations for making change.

And for the parents out there needing support, here's what you'll find in the "For Parents" section:

Check it out!

And then, my question for you is this - do you have enough support for your mental and emotional wellbeing while you are in the NICU? If not, what would you like to see improved?
