Here is a lovely article from the New York Times about live music therapy for NICU patients - it's a video worth watching.

And then it's worth talking with your NICU about how you might incorporate music therapy for your little one. Not every NICU has access to this kind of therapy, but if parents start asking, they may consider it. If you can't find access to live music, as they show here in this video, perhaps you can discuss bringing in a music player and choosing some appropriate, soft and supportive music to play during kangaroo care.
